Woohoo!!!!
I’m going to be a visiting researcher at the University of Toronto from September to December!
There are still a lot of things to arrange, but I’m sure that’ll all be dealt with fairly soon.
Have a Bricklin for your time:

Woot! Hit me up if you ever want to go see the Falls, or want to go to CIAS in February.

I’ll already be back home in Febuary, but I definitely want to check out the Falls!

Coolness, doubt you’ll ever be out East in the Maritimes, but if so, hit me up if you’re going to be in Nova Scotia! :D

I doubt it too, but one never knows, as I’ve got enough weekends to spend exploring the country.

Well, it’s about 2 days of driving from Toronto area to here, so you’d better find a road-trippy car while you’re here :P
On a random note, were you thinking of buying a cheap used car while you were here? :P You need a good (read: shitty) used North American domestic Pontiac Sunfire, Chrysler K-car or other to experience true North American cheap driving :P

That’s true, still need to get used to the distances, as I’m from the tiny Netherlands.
Well, as I’ll likely be living in Toronto, and the university is in downtown-ish Toronto, I likely won’t be buying a car. Might try out a few North-American shitboxes just for fun though :)

Unless you’re flying...
that
ain’t
enough
.
You’re a solid day from one coast and two from the other. Which isn’t to say you shouldn’t do it if you could...
Not to worry though, there’s plenty of ground to cover in Ontario alone, so if you’re going to go exploring you won’t get bored :)

The Dutch are skaters aren’t they?
Go play some hockey
Enjoy your stay!

Still need to get used to the distances, haha :)

Generally speaking, yes we are. I’ve never really skated a lot, though... But I might just try it, for the laughs :P
Thanks!

Batteries and the management systems surrounding them.

I call BS on 2 days from Toronto to Vancouver. I mean unless you literally never stop to sleep or anything

Do tell! That seems to be a very interesting area of research right now.

Depends how it’s done and what sort of luck you have. Even what people you take. Google said (iirc) 27 hours from T.O. to a Winnipeg area destination, I made it in just under 24. That was 21 hours driving time, the rest was food/shitter stops. I had 2 drivers besides myself, we just kept rolling for the most part. Only one place where we stopped for no other reason than to look around.
It’s kinda weird... there’s so much along the way I’d like to slow down and enjoy, but once I get driving I no longer have any desire to stop. I could keep that up all through the prairies because _________ and _________ and more ___________. Could I do it through the mountains too? That’s more of a challenge.
So yeah, I think it’s perfectly doable.

You’ll come just in time for the final C&C (of the year) if the organizers don’t have too early in the month.

I’ll arrive on September 1, so I’ll definitely be able to make it regardless of which day they choose.

It’s a good mix, some imports, some muscle, bit of everything thing. Clayton goes in Vette normally.
